So on my way out the door to grab some dinner and then see Guardians of the Galaxy I hear moaning and heavy panting come from one of the neighbors open windows. Well good job sir or madam you have my respect lol. Just sharing the little things that amuse me in life. Dinner was good simple turkey sandwich with mayo on toasted rye. Now for the movie…..
It was awesome! Guardians of the Galaxy had action, humor, and more importantly heart. Everything a great story and comic book should have. Now for the characters: Star-Lord is totally the bad ass hero, and broken. He comes to realize he is missing something he never thought he had lost. Gamora is total bad ass fighter. Groot is Groot. 😉 Dave Bautista was perfect as Drax The Destoryer, limited words, some comedy and honestly I expected worse from him acting wise, but he stayed true to the character (which isn’t a stretch for him). Rocket Racoon, I wasn’t sure they were going to pull off a talking raccoon, but dammit they did. He has heart, comedic side, ferocious fighting skills, and really for me made the movie. Ronnin the Accuser was just bad ass over the top zealot or the big bad of the movie and was perfecct. A super hero movie about family in an unlikely place, was a perfect way to introduce not just a new world, but a new universe! And of course the end credit scenes killed me. Spoilers: Baby Groot dancing, then stopping when Drax looked at him & Howard the Duck drinking with the collector made me giggle.
So in closing. If you haven’t seen it……….. GO SEE IT.
