So all through the internet a thousand nerds screamed out in pain (950 of them will see the movie anyway) at the news of casting Ben Affleck as Batman in the Man of Steel Sequel. Many use the DareDevil excuse – the movie sucked! (Check out the directors cut, the movie was much better in my thoughts). Fact is the casting of Affleck worked. Why? The movie had huge hype before the “new” Batman was named, now naming Affleck has created a huge entertainment “Buzz”. Reminds me of the 1989 debated choice about Keaton as Batman… The more people that talk about the movie, usually translates to people going to watch it to see what all the talk is about… so regardless of your thoughts on Affleck – they hit a slam dunk…. Now lets see if the buzz translates to a great movie…
